SOP: DTI Concrete Repair Kit Application

This Standard Operating Procedure governs the use of the DTI Concrete Repair Kit to fill and repair cracks, holes, and joints in concrete — including surface preparation, two-part compound mixing, application, leveling, and cure-time requirements.

Application Procedure

When applying the product, always use proper protective wear (gloves, eye protection, etc.).

1. Clean the Crack: Use a stiff brush to clean any debris from the crack.
2. Tape Off the Area: Tape off the surrounding areas of the cracks, holes, or joints.
3. Attach Mixing Tip: Remove the protective cap and screw on the mixing tip.
4. Prime the Compound: Using the plunger, squeeze out the compound. Note that you may need to dispense a small amount first to ensure both parts of the compound are fully mixed.
5. Apply & Level: Apply the filler into the joint, crack, or hole in the concrete, making sure to level the material so it is flush with the surrounding surface.
6. Trim Excess: Allow the material to sit for 15 minutes, then trowel or shave off any excess.
7. Secure & Cure: Block off the area from foot traffic for at least 30 minutes (at 70°F or higher) to allow the product to cure. Note that colder temperatures will increase cure times.

Safety

• Always wear proper protective equipment when applying the product, including gloves and eye protection.
• Colder temperatures will extend the cure time beyond 30 minutes — plan traffic restrictions accordingly.
