Who we are
Diverse Technology Industrial, Inc., doing business as DTI Flooring, is an industrial and commercial flooring contractor based in Tracy, California. We hold California contractor license number 1003639. This policy explains what information we collect through dtindustrialflooring.com, why we collect it, and what choices you have.
If you have questions about anything here, email [email protected] or call (209) 879-9674.
What we collect
Information you give us directly
When you submit a form on our site, request an assessment, or contact us about a project, we collect:
- Your name
- Your company or organization
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your city or project location
- Details you choose to share about your floor, facility, or project
- Any files or photos you attach
We ask for this because we cannot quote industrial flooring work without knowing where the floor is, what condition it is in, and how to reach you. Fields marked optional are genuinely optional.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, we and our service providers may receive:
- Your IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages you viewed, how long you stayed, and what you clicked
- The website or search that referred you to us
- Advertising identifiers such as Google Click ID when you arrive from a Google Ads click
What we do not collect
We do not ask for or knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, payment card data, government identification numbers, health information, or biometric data through this website. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. We do not sell personal information.
Why we collect it
| Purpose | What this means in practice |
|---|---|
| Responding to your request | Calling or emailing you back, scheduling a site walk, preparing a spec and quote |
| Performing the work | Coordinating scheduling, access, and job details if you become a customer |
| Security | Blocking spam and automated form abuse |
| Measuring our advertising | Understanding which ads and pages produce real inquiries so we stop wasting money on the ones that do not |
| Improving the site | Seeing which pages are useful and which are not |
| Legal and recordkeeping | Meeting contracting, licensing, warranty, tax, and insurance obligations |
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that affect you, and we do not build advertising profiles about you for sale or rental to anyone.
Service providers we use
We do not sell personal information. We do share it with vendors who help us run the business, and only for the purposes above.
| Provider | What it does | What it may receive |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Website traffic measurement | Pages viewed, device and browser, approximate location, referral source |
| Google Ads conversion tracking | Tells us which ads produced an inquiry | That a form was submitted or a call button was tapped, plus the click identifier |
| Google Tag Manager | Loads the two tools above | Same data as the tools it loads |
| Cloudflare | Site hosting, delivery, and security | IP address, request details |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Confirms you are a person, not a bot | Signals about your browser and interaction with the form |
| Searchable (searchable.workers.dev) | Site analytics | Page views and session activity |
| Email and CRM systems | Receiving and managing your inquiry | Everything you submitted on the form |
Google's handling of data collected through its products is described in the Google Privacy Policy and in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Cloudflare's practices are described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to enforce a contract, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or to a buyer if the business is sold. If ownership ever changes, we will say so on this page.
Cookies and tracking
The site uses cookies and similar technologies for three things: making the site work, keeping it secure, and measuring traffic and advertising.
You can control cookies in your browser settings, and blocking analytics and advertising cookies will not prevent you from using the site or submitting a form. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can adjust what Google shows you at Google Ad Settings.
We honor Global Privacy Control signals where our systems receive them.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above, or as long as the law requires. In practice that means:
| Type of record | How long we keep it | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Inquiries that do not become projects | 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted | Long enough to recognize you if you come back, short enough that we are not sitting on stale contact data |
| Customer project records, including specs, schedules, photos, and correspondence | Through any warranty period, and then for ten years after substantial completion of the work | California law allows claims for latent construction defects to be brought up to ten years after substantial completion. We keep the records that would let us respond to one |
| Job site photographs and condition documentation | Same as customer project records | These are often the only evidence of what a floor looked like before we touched it |
| Website analytics tied to an individual browser or device | 14 months | This is the maximum our analytics configuration retains for user-level data |
| Accounting, tax, and insurance records | As required by California and federal tax and insurance rules | Not our discretion |
The ten-year figure on project records is not us being acquisitive. It reflects California Code of Civil Procedure section 337.15, which sets a ten-year outer limit, measured from substantial completion, on actions for latent deficiencies in construction. Discarding project documentation earlier than that would leave both you and us without records if a question came up.
If you ask us to delete your information and we are keeping some of it for one of the legal reasons above, we will tell you which category applies rather than simply refusing.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS, forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, and access to inquiry data is limited to DTI staff who need it to respond to you or perform work. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that a transmission over the internet is completely safe.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete information we no longer need
- Stop contacting you
To make a request, email [email protected] or call (209) 879-9674. We will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will not treat you differently for making a request.
California residents
We extend the rights in this section to California residents as a matter of company policy, whether or not we are legally required to. The California Consumer Privacy Act applies to businesses above certain size thresholds, and a contractor our size may fall below them. We are not going to make you work out whether a threshold applies before we answer a reasonable question about your own information.
Your rights:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, where we got it, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to
- Access a copy of it, including for the 12-month period before your request
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete information we are not required to keep for one of the reasons in the retention table above
- Opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising
- Limit use of sensitive personal information
- Non-discrimination, meaning we will not give you worse service or pricing for exercising any of these
On the two that people ask about most:
We do not sell personal information, and we have not sold it in the preceding 12 months. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information.
We do not collect sensitive personal information through this website, as California defines that term. We do not ask for government identifiers, precise geolocation, account credentials, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, union membership, genetic or biometric data, health information, or contents of your mail, email, or texts.
The categories we do collect, using California's labels, are identifiers (name, company, email, phone, city, IP address), commercial information (the project you inquired about), and internet or network activity (pages viewed, referral source, clicks). We collect them from you directly and through the service providers listed above, for the business purposes described above. We disclose them only to those service providers, and only for those purposes.
To exercise a right, email [email protected] or call (209) 879-9674 and tell us which right you are exercising. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 days, extendable once by another 45 days if we tell you why. We may need to verify your identity first, and for a deletion or correction request we will ask for enough detail to be confident we are acting on the right record.
You may use an authorized agent. If you do, we will ask the agent for written proof of your authorization and may still verify your identity with you directly.
If you are not satisfied with how we handled your request, you can contact us again and ask for it to be reviewed, or you can file a complaint with the California Privacy Protection Agency at cppa.ca.gov or the California Attorney General at oag.ca.gov.
If you are outside the United States
Our services are directed to customers in the United States and our systems are located here. If you contact us from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States.
Calls and text messages
When you give us your phone number on a form, you are agreeing that DTI may call or text you about that specific request: to schedule a site walk, ask a question about your floor, confirm access, or follow up on a quote.
That is the whole scope. Specifically:
We do not run SMS marketing campaigns. We do not send promotional texts, newsletters, or offers by text, and we do not add your number to any marketing list.
We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with anyone for their own marketing.
Giving us your number is not a condition of getting a quote. If you would rather we only email you, leave the phone field blank where it is optional, or tell us in the message field and we will respect it.
Calls and texts come from DTI staff or our scheduling system, not an autodialer running a campaign list.
Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text and we will stop texting you, or just tell us on a call or by email. Opting out of texts does not opt you out of the phone call or email you asked for, so say so if you want us to stop contacting you entirely.
If we ever decide to start sending marketing texts, we will ask for your separate express written consent first. We will not read this paragraph as covering it.
Third-party links
The site links to other websites, including manufacturer documentation and industry associations. We do not control those sites and this policy does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page.
