Areas subject to standing liquids, aggressive chemicals, hot washdown, grease, or demanding slip-resistance conditions may need a resinous or urethane-cement system instead. DTI evaluates those zones separately rather than extending polished concrete into an unsuitable environment. Food-service applications, in particular, require attention to drainage, sanitation, contaminants, cleaning procedures, and wet traction before a floor type is selected.
